View of the sunflower fields at Clear Meadow Farm

This past Saturday we went to the Sunflower Fields in Monkton, Maryland. For anyone that has never been, it is a fantastic site to see with over 150 acres and over 2.5 million sunflowers. The sunflower fields are quite a famous tourist attraction in Maryland and only bloom every two years, so you have to make sure to get there. The end of August to the first week of September is the ideal time when they are in full bloom. We drove from Baltimore towards Harford County taking the back roads along the way. The drive is so beautiful, especially this time of year.

We hung out in the fields, peeked into a cute corner antique shop and bought a few sunflowers for friends and family. Something about sunflowers are so cheerful and put a smile on my face every time I see one.
